电视剧寻秦记比原著小说更好看，大约是众多穿越小说的鼻祖。
梁羽生作品略显古板，上一代为大侠，下一代仍是大侠。
王度庐作品，ＩＭＨＯ，文采较为一般。
古龙是本人认为最浪漫最有想象力的武侠作家，不受任何地点时间朝代限制。后果是古龙小说改编成的影视作品中人物的服饰造型经常不伦不类，发型诡异，如挑染的现代发型。
金庸则仍然试图将情节与历史背景联系起来，沿用章回小说的方式为每章节命名。金庸小说改编成的影视作品服饰造型因有据可循而更为正常。
王小波说过，在小说中，我可以是任何人，出现在任何时间任何地点，如果不是这样，写小说又有什么意思。对读者同理。
